Discover our Solar System with the Celestron PowerSeeker 127EQ! You’ll be ready to observe in minutes thanks to the quick and easy no-tool setup. The 127EQ provides bright, clear images of the Moon, planets, star clusters, and more for great nighttime viewing.

Manual German Equatorial telescope

The PowerSeeker mount comes with two slow motion control knobs that allow you to make fine pointing adjustments to the telescope in both Right Ascension and Declination axes, also referred to as RA and DEC.

Accessories Included

Accessories include a 20mm and 10mm eyepiece, a finderscope, and a 3x Barlow lens. The two eyepieces offer different magnifications for low and high powered views.  The 3x Barlow lens triples the magnifying power of each eyepiece.

Starry Night Software

Download Celestron’s Starry Night Software and learn about the night sky, celestial objects, and how to plan your next observing session. Celestron Starry Night Software is the premier astronomy software package on the market, providing resources and knowledge to view our solar system and beyond.

Ideal for near and deep-sky observation, Celestron's PowerSeeker 127EQ 127mm f/8 Reflector Telescope features a respectable focal length and a large, parabolic mirror that produce detailed images of the moon, clear views of the planets, and the ability to resolve bright distant objects such as nebulae and galaxies. The scope is outfitted with a 1.25" rack-and-pinion focuser and two eyepieces to get new users started, and a 3x Barlow lens that effectively triples the magnification of any eyepiece used with it to expand the usability.

The included manual equatorial mount features slow-motion control cables with large knobs to make it easy to track objects even when wearing gloves, while also minimizing vibrations caused by handling the mount with your hands; and clearly visible indicators on the Right Ascension and Declination axes. An adjustable-height aluminum tripod rounds out the rig with a tray for accessories such as eyepieces, filters, and lights.

                Solar Warning
                • Never look directly at the Sun with the naked eye or with an optic (unless you have the proper solar filter). Permanent and irreversible eye damage may result.
                • Never use your optic to project an image of the Sun onto any surface. Internal heat build-up can damage the optic and any accessories attached to it.
                • Never leave your optic unsupervised. Make sure an adult who is familiar with the correct operating procedures is with your optic at all times, especially when children are present.
